The Choice offers two storage options: Local Only and Cloud Sync.
Local Only Mode: We do not collect or store any information. Your check-ins, decisions, and private notes are saved entirely on your device's local storage and never leave your phone.
Cloud Sync Mode: When you create an account, we collect your email address to authenticate you. Your reflection data is securely stored in our encrypted database so it can sync across your devices.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app—allowing you to track your feelings and view your historical insights. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or private reflections with any third parties or advertisers.
3. Data Security
In Local Only Mode: Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (e.g., Face ID, device passcode).
In Cloud Sync Mode: We implement strict, industry-standard security measures. Your private reflections are protected by database Row Level Security (RLS), ensuring that only your authenticated account can access your personal data.
4. Deleting Your Data
You have the absolute right to delete your personal information at any time.
In Cloud Sync Mode: You can permanently delete your account and all associated reflection data by navigating to Settings > Delete my account.
In Local Only Mode: You can clear your data via Settings, or simply delete the app from your device. Once deleted, local data cannot be recovered.
